Manual Purchasing from Dashboard
In this article we will go over how to create a manual purchase order straight from your dashboard using the “Manual Purchasing” widget.
Adding the Manual Purchasing widget to your Dashboard
-
The first step you’ll need to do in this process is to actually add the manual purchasing widget to your dashboard. Do this by hitting the “customize” button in the top right corner of your dashboard.
-
From that customize button you’ll then click on “Add utility widget” > “Manual Purchasing”. To add this to your dashboard.
-
Once it’s added to your dashboard you can go ahead and position it to your liking.
Creating a Manual Purchase Order from the Dashboard
-
Now that you have your widget added you’ll notice it’ll start to list all of your MFGs in the system along with your local inventory products associated with those MFGs.
- The manual purchasing widget is best used when it’s expanded out wide so you can see all information.

-
You are able to filter & sort each column as you see fit. If you want to see a specific MFG then go and click on the magnifying glass icon next to the MFG column to search for a specific MFG.
-
*Note that you’ll be able to see the products information regarding YTD Sales, LY Sales, as well as availability and the mean daily demand.
-
Once you’ve thinned down the results to show you what MFG products you’re looking for, you can go and enter in the “Qty to order” column to specify what amount you’d like to order for that product.
-
Once you’re done entering in the QTY you can go ahead and hit “Purchase” at the bottom of the widget. If you’ve selected multiple products across multiple MFGs it will create an RFQ per MFG.
-
The process at this point continues to be the same standard purchasing procedure and you must convert your RFQs into POs if you decide to move forward with them.
